Trinidad & Tobago Market Visit

Marble recently took part in the Defence & Security Market Visit organised by the British DIT (Department for International Trade) and High Commission in Trinidad & Tobago.

During the visit, a number of governmental organisations presented a security status and outlook to a handful of pre-selected British firms. This was followed by a series of round tables and 1-1 meetings, where a number of topics were discussed, including:

  • The Venezuelan crisis

  • The use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in maritime domain awareness

  • Cross-department information sharing and cybersecurity

  • Collaboration between T&T and Britain

We also dialled in on a CARICOM videoconference where we discussed the security needs of the region, before joining British High Commissioner Tim Stew at his home for an evening reception under a Caribbean sunset.
